Scholars and staff at Longsands, part of Astrea Academy Trust, are today celebrating another year of fantastic GCSE results across all subjects.
Teenagers across the country are receiving the results from exams they took earlier this year in May and June. Despite having many challenges to face, 15 and 16 year olds have recorded excellent achievements at GCSE, with the students of Longsands no exception.
Staff at Longsands have gone above and beyond to ensure their scholars were as prepared as possible for their GCSEs. In particular, the academy utilised supplementary educational platforms like Sparx offered tailored study clinics, subject masterclasses, and holiday sessions led by specialist teachers, along with individualised pastoral support from our staff.
The extra support paid off with many scholars achieving excellent results.
