How to Apply
Applications for Longsands Sixth Form are required to be submitted via the MyChoice16 website. To join us in September 2026, you will need to apply by the 30th January 2026.
Step-by-step Application Process
1. Log into your MyChoice16 account
2. Select ‘My Applications’. Here, you can access all the sections of your application and see your progress in each section. To start a new application, click ‘Start a New Application’; to continue an existing one, click ‘Continue’ next to your application.
3. You will need to complete all sections of your ‘Profile Template’ before creating a new application. For any additional applications, your profile will have saved, so only the ‘Course Choices’ will need completing.
4. Your qualifications will be uploaded by the school, you will not be able to amend them – so you can skip this section. Your form tutor will also add your reference.
5. Complete any additional fields or checkboxes and click the ‘Send Application’ button to send your application. Your application will now be at the next status.
6. The school will then check your application is suitable and meets the requirements. You may be asked to discuss this with your teacher.
7. Once your application is sent, you will need to monitor the progress and respond to any notifications you have been sent.
Entry Requirements
We know that making your post-16 choice is an important decision and we are here to support you in understanding the opportunities available at Longsands Sixth Form. We welcome applications from scholars in St Neots and beyond.
Scholars in our Sixth Form are required to study 3 subjects at A Level, sitting the final examinations at the end of Year 13. For some scholars, it may be appropriate to study a fourth A Level subject.
Scholars must have achieved five strong passes (grade 5+) at GCSE level, including English Language and Maths, and a grade 5+ in the desired A Level subject. Some subjects may have additional entry requirements which are noted on the subject page, which you can find via the below button.
