The Classics department aims to excite and encourage exploration of the civilisations of ancient Greece and Rome by studying their history, culture, language (Latin) and literature. Classics is a diverse and interdisciplinary subject that offers linguistic, literary and historic knowledge while developing language and analytical skills.
