Why Study Geography?

If you want to change the world in which we live, you must first understand it, and this is exactly what Geography allows you to do. The course covers a mixture of physical and human Geography topics and explores how they are interconnected. With this knowledge you could be the one to change mankind’s future and save our planet from destruction.

Studying Geography gives you the opportunity to explore some of the big issues facing the world today, and in particular how we manage these issues. You will have the opportunity to study some of the inequalities that plague us and consider how they can be overcome. Geography is a highly valued subject among universities and employers and is regarded as a facilitating A Level.

Where can Geography take me next?

Business/Finance, Urban planning, Surveying, Journalism Data Analysis, Charity work for NGO, Meteorology… and many more!

Geography Enrichment and Super-Curricular

Fieldwork is a compulsory part of the course, and it is expected that all students will take part in 4 days of fieldwork. For this we complete a day in Wisbech investigating migration and 3 days at Cranedale Field Studies Centre investigating carbon and water cycles, coastal processes and changing spaces.
