Anti-Bullying & Support

As a community, Longsands Academy works to dispel bullying so that everybody can have a space where they are able to work and learn in peace and safety. This will ensure that Longsands provides an environment where every child can feel:

  • Safe
  • Healthy
  • Able to enjoy and achieve
  • Able to contribute to future economic well-being
  • Able to make a positive contribution.

Students can talk to their Form Tutor, a member of Student Services or any member of staff. In addition, Parents/Carers and Students can report bullying or concerns by emailing: TellUs@astrea-longsands.org We are committed to working in close partnership with students, parents and outside agencies.

Please follow this link to view the Anti-Bullying Alliance’s interactive tool which includes a huge amount of advice and information for parents/carers. Together and united, we can stamp bullying out!

During any times we are closed you can pick from this list of services if you need to talk to someone. If you work with a Young People’s Worker, Centre 33 or the Young Carers you can contact them directly on the numbers they have given you. You can also email TellUs@astrea-longsands.org and someone from the safeguarding team will help you.

We value the support and help provided by the large number of local and national support agencies that exist. They can be called upon to offer addition guidance on key topics. Outlined below are a selection of websites designed for young people and their parents/carers.

St Neots has a Food Bank which is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK – further details can be found here: https://stneots.foodbank.org.uk/
